Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana:- The Government of Maharashtra has launched a new scheme called Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana, Through this scheme government will take major steps to recover the outstanding electricity bills. Under this scheme, all customers except agricultural customers of Maharashtra state will be benefited. Those whose electricity connection has been permanently shut off before 31 December 2021 due to non-payment of electricity dues. Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana 2024
As we know that the Government of Maharashtra is also taking steps to improve the living conditions of citizens of the state, different schemes have been launched by the Maharashtra government for the benefit of people. One of the very important schemes launched by the Maharashtra government is Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana. Under this scheme, the outstanding electricity bills will be recovered from the electricity consumers of the state. Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Scheme will be operated from 1st March to 31st August 2023 under which all the customers except agricultural customers with outstanding electricity bills will get interested and late fee waiver on their outstanding electricity bills. This will be for those whose electricity connection has been permanently shut off before 31st December 2021. The government will give a 100% rebate in interest and late fees to such electricity customers, who will deposit the principal amount in one go.
Also 5% rebate will be provided to consumers with high tension Connections and a 10% rebate will be provided to consumers with low tension connections. The Government has also provided an option to consumers to deposit 30% of the amount in one go and the remaining balance in 6 installments.

The main objective of this scheme is to waive off late fees payment and interest on electricity bills of those consumers whose electricity connection is permanently shut-off before 31st December 2021. Through this scheme they can pay 30% of the balance in one go and the remaining amount in 6 installments.

Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana Benefits and Features

Discounts to be provided under Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Scheme
Under this scheme government will provide 100% in interest and late fees to the costume who will deposit outstanding electricity bills in one go.

Procedure to Apply under Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of Mahavitaran
- After that, the homepage of the website will be displayed on the screen
- On the homepage, you have to click on the option New User Registration
- After that, the application form will be displayed on the screen
- After that you have to enter all the required information like Your customer number, mobile number, email id, login name, password etc
- After that you have to click on the submit button
- Then you have to click on the login option
- After that login page will be displayed on the screen, on the login page you have to enter your login credentials like username, password and captcha code

- Now the Accounts page will open in front of you where you have added the consumer number.
- On this accounts page you have to select the subscriber number for which you want to avail the scheme. After this, you have to click on the option of “Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh Abhay Yojana”.
- Now am application form will be displayed on the screen, you have to fill out the form with the required details
- After that you have to upload all the required documents along with the application form
