There are around 7274674 kids in grades 1 through 10 in 64533 schools across the state, with over 10.94 lakh intermediate pupils. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has delivered financial aid totaling 6,392 crore rupees under Jagananna Amma Vodi programme in the Kurupam district of Parvathipuram Manyam. The state government would give each of almost 42 lakh women a gift of 15,000 rupees each year in exchange for enrolling their children in school. The financial aid provided under Amma Vodi would benefit about 83 lakh children in classes 1st to intermediate.

Amma Vodi Scheme Details
- The Amma Vodi scheme was launched in try to lower the school dropout rate. Every year, Rs 15000 is placed into the bank accounts of moms who send their children to school under this scheme. Poverty will not be a barrier to education under this plan.

Guidelines for the Amma Vodi Scheme 2024
Amma Vodi guidelines for the year 2020-21 have been announced by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, and they are as follows:
- The preparatory actions on the Amma Vodi project will take performed at the moment level from December 9th to December 25th 2020.
- From the 10th to the 20th of December 2020, all principals are obliged to register and update student information.
- On the 15th of December 2020, a list of all eligible mothers/guardians whose children are enrolled in the info/knowledge land portal will be examined and released. The criteria for the 6th level will be applied to this list.
- On the 15th of December 2020, all students whose information has been updated before that date will be sent to APCFSS.
- On December 19, 2020, the list of eligible mothers/caregivers will be revised. This list will be evaluated using the six-level criterion.
- All details promoted on the Amma Vodi portal between December 20, 2020 and December 24, 2020 must be published on the school notice board and the gram/ward secretariat notice board.
- If the Aadhar number, bank account number, or IFSC code include any problems, the principals are responsible for correcting them.
- The village/ward secretariat is responsible for submitting any objections relating to disqualification to the collector. The submission process will follow the regular protocol, and the joint collector will address these complaints.
- The list will be compiled and released on the 16th and 20th of December 2020. By the 26th of December 2020, a final list with corrected objections will be available on the portal.
- On the 27th and 28th of December 2020, the ward/gram sabha will ratify the final list.
- The final list must be submitted online by the village/ward educational welfare assistant by December 29, 2020.
- By December 30, 2020, the headmaster must give over the list to the district educational officer via the zonal education officer.
- The district education officer must send the list to the district collector by December 30, 2020.

Amma Vodi Scheme Features
- Under the Andhra Pradesh Amma Vodi skin, the following characteristics have been included: Only direct benefit transfers or online transfers of monies will be made to the recipients.
- Once the beneficiary has completed standard 12, neither the beneficiary nor the beneficiary’s mother will be eligible for aid.
- The funds will be distributed to all of the beneficiaries every January until they complete their studies.
- If the beneficiary decides to discontinue his or her studies, then no funds will be made available to him or her.
