Apun Bahan Scheme Assam 2024
The chief minister of Assam has decided to launch a new scheme called the Apun Bahan Scheme in the state to promote vehicle purchasing. Under this scheme, the government will provide interest discounts on motor vehicle loans from regional rural banks, commercial banks, and Assam Cooperative Apex Bank which are recognized by the Reserve Bank of India.
Under the Apun Bahan Scheme, Male employees will get the benefit of a 2 percent interest Subsidy if they buy petrol or diesel vehicles. For electric vehicles, the subsidy increases to 3%. All Female Employees and Differently Abled Employees will get a 3 percent interest Subsidy for Purchasing any type of Vehicle. Applicants who want to take advantage of this scheme can register through online or offline mode. after that, the loan amount will be transferred into their bank accounts.

Objectives of Apun Bahan Scheme
The scheme has been implemented for the benefit of Assam State Government Employees. Under this scheme, government employees are eligible to get motor vehicle loans with a 2% interest subsidy. For women and differently-abled it will be increased to 3%. A total of 12 crores had been set aside for this purpose. This scheme aims to help eligible employees to buy vehicles.
