Delhi Nursery Admission Registration Procedure Commences
From February 18, 2022 Nursery, kindergarten, and first-grade admissions have begun in Delhi’s 1700 private schools. The deadline for submitting an application for nursery admission is March 4, 2021. On February 15, 2021, the Delhi schools notified the Delhi education department of the number of seats available. Around 75% of the seats in the nursery are designated for kids in the general category, with the remaining seats going to students in the economically disadvantaged categories. Delhi Nursery Admission Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who meet the following conditions may apply for admission under this initiative of the Delhi Government’s Doctorate of Education:
- As of March 31, 2021, the candidate for Nursery or Pre-School must be 3 to 5 years old, KG or Pre-Primary must be 4 to 6 years old, and Class I must be 5 to 7 years old.
- A family’s annual income should not exceed one lakh rupees.
- Applicants must be from a family of economically disadvantaged individuals or families.
- The applicant must be a permanent Delhi resident.

Important Instructions
- Any deviation from the schedule has been prohibited by the department.

- All private schools must follow a reasonable, well-defined, equitable, non-discriminatory, unambiguous, and transparent admission method.
- On the website www.edudel.nic.in, private unaided recognized schools are expected to publish their admission criteria for an open seats at entry-level classes for the academic session 2022-23. This information must be submitted by December 14, 2021.

Other Requirements
