Jnanabhumi Scholarship Objectives

The major goal of the Jnanabhumi scholarship is to give backward categories—such as scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, or even other backward categories—better educational opportunities. 17 lakh students from underprivileged categories receive pre-Matric, post-Matric, and other scholarships from the government each year totaling about 5000 rupees. A 1500 rupee scholarship will also be given to registered applicants through this portal in addition to the scholarship to distribute the money among the communities. The major goal is to release scholarships on time and in a transparent manner so that all students will have equal access to educational opportunities.

Post-matric scholarship for ST/ SC/BC/Minorities/ EBC/ Kapu/Differently Abled Students: Students who are enrolled in post-matriculation or post-secondary levels of education are given post-matric scholarship awards. This program will be available to all students who are members of the SC, ST, minority, Kapu, differently abled, and BC communities. Through the program’s official website, applicants can apply.
Scholarships for students who are SC/ST/BC/disabled: These scholars are those who are enrolled in pre-matriculation courses. All students enrolled in classes from fifth to tenth will be eligible to benefit from this program. Only pupils who fall under the SC, ST, B, or C disability categories will be eligible to benefit from this program. Currently, only pupils attending schools run by the government and local organizations are eligible for this program.
Ambedkar Abroad Vidyanathi Scheme: The beneficiary of this program receives a grant between Rs. 10 and Rs. 15 lakh. Beneficiaries from the SC, ST, BC, EBC, Brahmin Kapu, and minority communities are eligible for this program. In addition, kids whose families earn less than Rs 6 lakh annually will benefit.

YSR Vidyonnathi scheme: The government will pay the coaching fees and other costs associated with civil service exam preparation through the YSR Vidyonnathi scholarship program. This program will be available to applicants from the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, economically backward class, minority, Kapu, and Brahmin communities.

Eligibility Criteria for Jnanabhumi Scholarship

For Pre-Matric Scholarship

Candidates must be members of the SC ST BC disabled community.
SC ST BC applicants from the disabled population can apply in classes 5 through 10.
These applicants’ annual incomes shouldn’t be more than 2 lakh.
Only students enrolled in ninth or tenth grade in the BC community may apply.

For Post-Matric Scholarship

Applicants may apply if they are enrolled in courses leading to a polytechnic ITI degree or higher at government-aided private colleges connected to government university boards.
Those who have a combined attendance rate of 75% are eligible to apply for the award.
Currently enrolled college students can apply.
These families shouldn’t have more than 10 acres of wetland, 25 acres of dry land, or 25 acres of both.
This applicant’s yearly salary shouldn’t be more than Rs. 2.50 lakh.
The applicant household should only own a taxi tractor and an automobile with four wheels.
Candidates enrolled in correspondence or distance learning programs are ineligible.
No income taxpayers should reside in the applicant’s household.
Candidates who are enrolled in a private or deemed university are ineligible.
Students admitted under the management and spot quotas are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
