Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has launched the Telangana Mahila Shakti Scheme for the women of the state. Through this scheme, employment opportunities will be provided to the women of the state. The initial target of this scheme is to provide a higher standard of living to 63.86 lakh SHG members. The earlier name of this schemes was Indira Kranti Patham, which has now been changed to Telangana Mahila Shakti Yojana. The previous BRS-led government was accused of failing to fulfill the promise of interest-free loans under the Mahila Shakti Schemes, leading to the outstanding amount reaching Rs 3,750 crore. To prevent the recurrence of such failures, the government is launching a zero-interest loan scheme, which also includes a provision for timely reimbursement of interest every six months.

To achieve this, new schemes for Telangana Mahila Shakti, formerly known as IKP SHGs, are being launched. TS Govt.
