Construction of 15.6 Lakh Houses Initiated
The YSR housing initiative was established to offer accommodation to underprivileged Andhra Pradesh families. This scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister, Mr. YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy. The implementation of this strategy will allow the state’s poor inhabitants to realize their ambition of buying a home. Houses will be provided to all eligible people of the state under this scheme by 2024. In the first phase, over 15.6 lakh dwellings will be constructed. The government plans to spend Rs 28084 crore on the construction of 15.6 lakh homes. On the 3rd of June 2021, Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister lay the foundations of housing colonies virtually from his camp office. The Chief Minister also addressed the recipients at this time.
Craftsmen from 30 Different Categories will be Hired
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has also stated that 30 different craftsmen, such as carpenters, masons, painters, and plumbers, will be employed in the construction of these housing complexes. The YSR housing plan will generate over 21 crore days of labor. In each district, a new joint collector post will be established to oversee the implementation of the YSR housing program. Infrastructure will Cost Rs 34000 Crores

Approximately 31 lakh home plots have been provided to the needy thus far. The housing program will benefit one out of every four households in the state. The Chief Minister further mentioned that the program will result in the creation of nearly four new districts with new housing colonies, which will house 1.2 crore people from 31 lakh families.
Facilities Available Under YSR Housing Scheme
Every unit of housing will also receive two tube lights, four bulbs, an above-water storage tank, two fans, and 20 tonnes of sand at no expense from the government. YSR Housing Scheme Layout Unveiled
The layout of the Gunkalam colony was unveiled by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy on December 30th, 2020. Under the YSR Housing Scheme, this is the state’s largest housing site layout, with 397 acres and 12301 plots. The chief minister also informed the officials that after the house construction is completed, this Gunkalam layout will become a Nagar Panchayat. Roads, drinking water, power, educational facilities, hospitals, police stations, parks, libraries, RBKs, health clinics, and banks will all be present in this plan. He further stated that under the YSR housing program, not only houses but future communities will be built.

YSR Housing Scheme Availability Of Basic Amenities
At his camp office in Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the massive Housing programs. He told the officers that the YSR Jagananna settlements should seem like model communities rather than slums. The colonies should have all of the fundamental amenities, such as subsurface drainage and library facilities. Officials have also been directed to offer discounted construction materials such as cement and steel to 15 lakh beneficiaries. Anganwadis would be available for every 2000 people in the new colonies, and a library will be available for 1500 to 5000 homes. Parks have also been given attention by the officials. The marking for planting trees should be done while the colonies are being built.
Progress of YSR housing Scheme Till Now
As you are all aware, the YSR housing program would provide houses to the needy inhabitants of Andhra Pradesh at no cost. The state minister, YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy, informed officials that the house site Patta distribution under this scheme was finished in 9,668 homes, with the distribution of houses being extended till January 20, 2021. Smart Town Scheme Eligibility Criteria

AP YSR EWS Housing Scheme 2024
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister, launched the YSR Housing Scheme 2024 on July 12, 2019, with the goal of providing housing to the underprivileged people of the state who cannot afford to build their own homes, as he promised during the election campaign. YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme
On July 8, 2020, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs will launch the YSR Jagananna Colonies Development, a new housing scheme. The authorities have identified approximately 60000 beneficiaries for this scheme, and 10000 applications are being considered.

The Kadapa district administration has implemented this program in Pulivendula town, which covers approximately 255 acres. The state government would distribute 1 to 1.5 cents of land along with paperwork to the beneficiaries.
