AP YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme:- The Government of Andhra Pradesh introduced the YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme under the leadership of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. The scheme intends to provide interest-free loans to state women. Women in large numbers are already forming various Self Help Groups (SHGs) to help society and encourage other women to be self-sufficient. Women who are members of DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) associations and affiliations are also eligible for the program.

AP YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme 2023
During his election speeches, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy offered the scheme to the general public. The public was very sceptical about whether the promise would be kept because of the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent pandemic. To everyone’s amazement, the CM followed through on his pledge and released Rs. 1400 crores under the scheme to reimburse interest for over 91 lakh women in Self Help Groups and DWCRA associations. Almost 8.78 lakh SHGs benefited from the initiative.
The YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme in Andhra Pradesh is largely focused on the development and economic empowerment of worthy and eligible women throughout the state. Interest-free loans, or bank loans with no interest, would be made available under the scheme to a chosen group of recipients. The government will be responsible for the loan interest. Hardworking and deserving women from SHGs and DWCRA organisations are among the beneficiaries.

YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme Objective
The Andhra Pradesh Chief minister introduced the plan to economically empower women in the state and make them self-sufficient. This initiative will provide ample possibilities for women in the state to develop better working environments and advance in their industries. Women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Area) groups are the primary beneficiaries of the scheme. Beneficiaries who seek financial loans from banks will be awarded loans at zero percent interest, which means they will only have to repay the amount borrowed, not the interest paid.
AP YSR Zero Interest Loan Program Advantages
The scheme was introduced by the Andhra Pradesh government to encourage women across the state to pursue self-sustainability. This scheme is extremely beneficial because it allows eligible users to obtain interest-free loans from a variety of reputable banks. YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme Implementation
The interest reimbursement payment will be transferred to the bank accounts of the selected list of recipients under the Andhra Pradesh YSR 0 Interest Loan Scheme. In April 2020, AP Chief Minister Jagan credited Rs. 1400 crores to the scheme, which will benefit over 91 lakh women in SHGs. Around 8.78 lakh women from SHGs and DWCRA associations benefited completely from the scheme.

Andhra Pradesh’s Other Women’s Welfare Schemes

Kapu Nestham Pathakam

YSR Cheyutha Scheme

Women from minority communities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes are eligible for financial support of Rs. 18,750 each year for a period of four years under this scheme. YSR Sunna Vaddi Scheme
YSR Sunna Vaddi is another women’s welfare programme sponsored by the Andhra Pradesh government. This programme offers interest-free loans to older women in the state who are active members of any Self-Help Group. All of these people can be financially self-sufficient. Women who are interested must be below the poverty line and have a bank account credit limit of Rs. 5 lacs.
Jagananna Amma Vodi
It is a major scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh government as part of Navaratnalu. A qualifying BPL mother receives an annual financial aid of Rs. 15,000 for the education of her child or children from class I to class XII under Jagananna Amma Vodi. Almost every public and private school in the state accepts kids chosen through the system. The scheme is also implemented regardless of the mother’s caste, creed, region, or religion.
AP Navasakam Portal Information
In 2019, the Government of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the Navasakam Portal @navasakam.ap.gov.in, an online portal. The portal is an integrated portal for information on the state’s different social programmes. The portal now offers twelve distinct programmes, namely.

The general public was relieved when the site was launched since it made it very easy for them to travel between the various plans through a single platform. Furthermore, residents of the state are not need to attend any notary office in order to apply for the relevant scheme. The entire application process has been made digital. The beneficiaries will also be verified and identified through a door-to-door survey conducted by the concerned authority.
YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme Eligibility Criteria
As previously stated, the scheme is exclusively limited to a select group of women. Applicants must meet all of the qualifying criteria given below in order to be eligible for the YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme’s advantages.

- All applicants must be residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
- The applicant must be a current member of a Self Help Group or the DWCRA.

YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme Application Process
On April 24, 2020, the Government of Andhra Pradesh announced this scheme in the middle of the extraordinary COVID-19 pandemic. The government has yet to propose an application process for the YSR zero Interest Loan Scheme. Beneficiaries will have to wait until an online portal or an offline procedure is implemented. We’ll let you know as soon as the officials make an announcement.
Women from various Self Help Groups and DWCRA groups are given zero-interest bank loans under this programme.
The government has not yet decided on an online or offline application procedure for the scheme.
The ladies chosen must repay the debt in a timely manner, i.e. in instalments, and are not required to pay any interest on the amount borrowed.
The amount of each instalment is determined by the loan amount and the loan term. These settings will be determined by your bank.
Once the scheme is launched, the recipient list and status will most likely be published on the scheme’s official portal.
The concerned authorities have not yet issued a helpline number to the scheme.
