Assam Khel Maharan 2024
State Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma ji has announced Assam Khel Maharan during the cabinet meeting in Delhi. The event aims to explore the sport’s potential in the state. Both men and women above 19 years of age and below 19 years of age are eligible to play this game in the state. Various sports like football, volleyball, kabaddi, kho kho, and athletics will be organized in Assam Khel Mehran. Assam Khel Maharan will be organized initially at Gram Panchayat/ULB/Ward and Gram Parishad Development Committee/MAC levels, followed by Assembly Constituency, District and State levels. Athletes from various sports and disciplines are encouraged to participate in the event. Around 50 lakh players are expected to participate in the Assam Khel Maharan 2024 program of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department this year.
