About Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship 2024

Maulana Azad National Scholarship was previously known as Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship. At a National Conference on Educational and Economic Development of Minorities held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on May 3, 2003, the late Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee formally announced the scheme. The primary goal of this program is to provide financial help to deserving female students. This program will fund the study of students who are unable to continue their studies owing to financial constraints.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship Objective  

The Maulana Azad Education Foundation’s major goal is to promote, acknowledge, support, and financially help minority women students in pursuing higher education from grades I to XII. The goal of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to female students who are unable to complete their studies due to a lack of funds, such as payment of school/college fees, purchase of syllabus books, purchase of stationery/equipment required for the course, and payment of boarding/lodging charges, among other things.

Some Key Points About the Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship

  • The rules of the Begum Hazrat Mahal scholarship are subject to revision as needed.
  • Once a scholarship has been terminated due to disbursement regulations, it cannot be reinstated under any circumstances.
  • If there is a break in the academic session in studies for whatever reason, the scholarship will be suspended or revoked, and the scholarship will be discontinued in the future.

  • Girls from minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Parsis are eligible for the Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship.
  • Only minority female students in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to apply for this grant.
  • The student must receive at least 50% or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination to be eligible for this prize.
  • The student’s credentials must be validated by the school. The student must complete the school verification form and have it signed by the principal, as well as have his or her photograph stamped and signed.
  • The student’s family’s annual income should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
