Andhra Pradesh CM Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that this scheme has not been given considering any color, caste, or creed. A lump sum amount of ₹ 10,000 per year will be provided to the beneficiary for 5 years, i.e. an amount of ₹ 50,000/- will be provided in five installments. This amount will be transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary. According to the state government data, 2,47,040 beneficiaries are listed in the first phase. These include 1,25,926 tailors, 82,347 clothes washers, and 38,767 new Brahmins. Rs 583.78 crore has been spent so far under Jagananna Chedodu Pathakam.
