YSR Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2024
On Monday, February 24, 2020, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the YSR Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme. Under this program, the State Government would pay the housing and meal expenses for ITI and Polytechnic students. All of the beneficiaries of the scheme will receive yearly financial aid in the form of scholarships.
The state government is recommending a budget of Rs 2300 crore for the effective implementation of this program. All students will receive assistance immediately in their bank accounts. This support payment will be wired to the mother’s bank account of the benefits student. The scheme will offer ITI students an annual scholarship of Rs 10,000, polytechnic students an annual scholarship of Rs 15, and degree students an annual award of Rs 20,000. The student will use this financial aid to cover lodging and meal expenses.

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Eligibility Criteria
The government has established some eligibility requirements for this scheme which are as follows:
- Employees working for the government are not eligible for the program
- Anyone in the family who receives a pension is ineligible for the program
- Students enrolled in the program like Polytechnic, ITI, and Degree programs are eligible to apply
- Workers at the sanctuary are exempt from the program
- Private colleges connected to state boards or universities
- The pupils must be enrolled in one of the following institutions: public or private
- The household should make less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year in income.
- Only wetlands under 10 acres, agricultural property under 25 acres, or wetlands and agricultural land under 25 acres should be considered beneficiaries.
- The recipients must not be four-wheel vehicle owners (Car, Taxi, Auto, etc).
