The KCR Kit Scheme 2023 for expectant mothers has finally been introduced by the Telangana government. The state government has begun accepting registrations online through its dedicated website, kcrkit.telangana.gov.in. Interested pregnant women can, however, register by going to the Public Health Center that is closest to them. The online registration of expectant mothers under the KCR Kit plan would be processed by an auxiliary nurse midwife, medical officer, or deputy district medical & health officer. The Telangana Finance Minister said in the state 2022–23 budget that every year, 1.25 lakh women would receive a “KCR nutrition kit” including all the extra nourishment they need. KCR Kit Scheme was introduced by the Telangana state government and went into force on June 4, 2017. Women who are pregnant may use this program for up to two deliveries. This program is available to women who give birth in a government hospital. The fundamental objective of this plan is to give pregnant women and new mothers whatever they need. Pregnant women would receive financial help under this program in the amount of Rs. 12,000 throughout 4 periods. The government will contribute another Rs. 1000 in the case of a girl baby. Baby oil, mother and child-friendly soaps, a mosquito net, dresses, a handbag, children’s toys, diapers, powder, shampoo, sarees, towels, and a baby bed are all included in the KCR kit.

Monetary Assistance for Pregnant Women

  • According to the plan, the state government would also give working pregnant women a financial aid payment of Rs. 12000 to make up for their lost wages. The sum would be given in three payments according to the schedule below. If the unborn child is a female, the pregnant woman will receive an additional Rs. 1,000.
  • After completing 2 ANC Checkups within 5.5 months of the LMP date, and with MO approval, a sum of Rs 3000 would be credited to the beneficiary’s account.
  • If the child is a male, a sum of Rs. 4000 will be credited to the beneficiary’s account following delivery. If the child is a girl, a sum of Rs. 5000 would be credited to the beneficiary’s account following delivery.
  • Following the first immunization, a sum of Rs 2000 is added to the beneficiary’s account within 3 months after delivery
  • After the second vaccination, a sum of Rs. 3000 was added to the beneficiary’s account within 9 months after delivery

The Eligibility Criteria for the scheme are as follows:

  • Candidates need to be Telangana Stats permanent residents and women.
  • Only Telangana residents who are expecting or have just given birth are eligible for the KCR Kit Scheme.
  • To be eligible for the program, pregnant mothers must give birth at a government hospital.
  • Only two deliveries by pregnant women are allowed under the KCR Kit plan.

Steps to Register for Telangana KCR Kit Scheme

There are various ways to register for the scheme. Some of them are as follows:

  • Pregnant ladies can go to the nearest Primary Health Care (PHC) centers
  • Pregnant ladies can contact the nearest government hospital
  • Pregnant ladies can also contact the nearest Asha worker to register for the scheme
  • They need to provide all the required details to the DEO/ANM like the pregnant woman’s name, Aadhaar number, age, mobile number, email ID, bank account details, permanent address, and last date of the period

Steps to Apply for KCR Kit Scheme

To apply for KCR Kit Scheme, pregnant ladies must follow the below-given steps:

  • First of all, go to the official website of the KCR Kit scheme
  • The homepage of the website will open on the screen

  • Click on the login button
  • Now enter your username, password, and captcha code
  • After that click on the sign-in button
  • Once you are successfully signed in, click on the mother/child registration
  • A new page will open on the screen, enter the mother’s ID/Aadhaar ID and verify it
  • Now, click on the new registration option
  • The registration form will open on the screen
  • Now, fill in all the required details like applicant’s name, Aadhaar number, husband’s name, age, date of registration, address, mobile number, LMP date, and expected delivery date
  • After that enter/select the district, village, Mandal, bank account details, name as in passbook, bank name, branch name, IFSC code, ASHA name, community, etc
  • If a pregnant lady is applying for a second time then click on the last delivery details
  • Enter gravida, parity, live, abortions, death, delivery date, obstetric formula, baby gender, ANC details, etc
  • The mother’s details with the mother ID will display on the screen
  • Now, enter the ANC details, and select high-risk identity options (Yes/No)
  • After that check the details carefully and click on the update option
  • Now enter the delivery date details and click on the update button
  • Now the child’s registration form opens on your screen
  • Enter the child’s all the required details and click on submit button to complete the process
