Required Documents to Apply for NSP
Students must provide certain documents to complete the application procedure when applying for any scholarship on NSP. Students are not required to upload any documents if the scholarship amount is less than INR 50,000. They must send a copy of the documents to their schools/colleges/institutes. Students should maintain the following documentation on available for all additional scholarships:
- Bank Passbook
- Educational documents
- Aadhaar number
- Domicile Certificate (as specified in the respective scholarship guidelines)
- Income Certificate (as specified in the respective scholarship guidelines)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Bonafide student certificate from school/institute (if the institute/school is different from the domicile state of the applicant)
National Scholarship Portal Registration
To continue to benefit from the above-mentioned scholarships, you must first register on NSP via Student Login. Students must, however, ensure that their present educational institution is registered on the portal before applying for a scholarship. The student will not be able to apply for any scholarships if the institution is not listed on the portal. The webpage also allows institutions to register themselves if they haven’t already done so. - To register, all new users must go to the National Scholarship Portal’s home page.
- Select ‘New Registration’.
- A page with NSP Registration Guidelines will appear.
- Carefully read the instructions.
- To continue, click ‘Continue.’
- Fill in all of the needed information.
- Select ‘Register’.
- On your registered mobile number, you will receive a student application ID and password.
Do National Scholarship Portal Login
- To begin the scholarship application, click the login button.
- Enter the app ID and password sent to your registered phone number.
Make a new password (A mandatory step)
- You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number once you have successfully logged in.
- Check the OTP.
