NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme 2024
In the GO Ms. No. 43 issued by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad through the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department on June 13, the government has named it the ‘NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme’. Through this scheme, the pension amount for old age people (OAP), widows, weavers, and toddy-toppers will be increased from the existing ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 per month by the government JV. The move is being seen as the fulfillment of a promise by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to bring reforms to the state. Under the ‘NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme’, beneficiaries will receive an amount of ₹7,000 in July, covering three months’ arrears, and ₹4,000 every month thereafter; Persons with disabilities will get ₹6,000 per month and those with chronic diseases will get ₹10,000 per month.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched the distribution of the ‘NTR Bharosa’ pension scheme in Penumaka village of Mangalagiri Assembly constituency. Through this scheme, Rs 4,408 crore will be distributed to 65.31 lakh beneficiaries across the state. The scheme was designed to provide financial security and support to the weaker sections of society, including widows, elderly, and disabled persons, the ‘NTR Bharosa’ pension scheme represents a significant advancement in ensuring inclusive growth and development. Addressing a gathering of enthusiastic locals, CM Naidu said, “This initiative is the first step in our journey towards improving the quality of life of every citizen.”

Features of NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme 2024
