On October 17, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the 12th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) financial incentive to qualified farmer families. PM Modi used Direct Benefit Transfer to distribute Rs 16,000 crore to the PM Kisan beneficiaries throughout the two-day PM Kisan Samman Sammelan event. Through 11 installments, qualified farmer families have thus far received benefits totaling more than Rs. 2 lakh crore through PM-KISAN. During the COVID epidemic, transfers of Rs. 1.6 lakh crore were made. With the delivery of the 12th installment by the prime minister on October 17, 2022, the total amount distributed to the beneficiaries is anticipated to surpass Rs. 2.16 lakh Crore.
What is PM Kisan
