Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme:- The Government of Telangana has introduced a new scheme called Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme for the welfare of handloom workers of the state. Through this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to handloom workers in order to improve their livelihood. Under this scheme, the government will provide a 40% subsidy to the handloom workers so that they can purchase their raw materials. Also, a 10% subsidy is given by the central government. But now in the revised Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme, eligible handloom workers will get financial assistance of Rs 3000 rather than the 50% subsidy that has been provided by the state government. On the occasion of Handloom Day, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao has launched a revised form of the Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme. Under this scheme, all the eligible handloom workers of the state will be provided Rs 3000 instead of receiving a subsidy on their purchase of raw materials. This amount of financial assistance given to weavers will be transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries. This scheme will be carried out in the entire state so that every eligible candidate can avail of benefits from this scheme without any discrimination. Those who are interested in this scheme have to register through online or offline mode.

Objective of Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme

The main objective of this revised form of the Telangana Chenetha Mitra Scheme is that every eligible handloom worker will be provided with financial assistance of Rs 3000 so that they can purchase their raw materials. Before the revised form of this scheme, everyone used to get a 50% subsidy on their purchase amount but there was a problem with uploading invoices. That’s why Telangana government had to revise this scheme.
