What is UDISE Code?

Every school that joins the UDISE+ platform is given a unique UDISE code, and the school’s information is collected via an online DCF (Data Capture Form). How to Get UDISE Code?

A UDISE code is assigned to each school in the country. If a new school is started, it must obtain a UDISE code in order to establish its distinctive identity. The following measures should be taken by the school:
The school user should contact the district MIS officer with the necessary documentation, particularly the school’s recognition letter. This is true for both accredited and non-accredited schools.
The district MIS user will apply for a UDISE code through the UDISE+ system’s “School Directory Management,” and the request will be forwarded to the state MIS user for approval.
The state MIS user will review the application and contact the district for any clarifications. The sole authority for approval of UDISE code generation for the school is the state-level user.
The application is sent to the Ministry of Education for UDISE code generation when state MIS verification is completed.
It takes about a week to finish the UDISE code generating process.
