The Medhashree scholarship is a brand-new program that was launched by West Bengal State Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee on Thursday. This grant is open to students from underprivileged socioeconomic groups and underrepresented ethnic groupings. - The government has implemented a 17% reservation for OBCs.
- Around 3.83 crore students have received scholarships through the Aikyashree scheme, and 40,000 of them have also received student credit cards, claims Banerjee.
